The Onkyo TX-NR7100 (Model: TXNR7100M2BMMP) is a 9.2-channel network AV receiver that marks a significant step up in the Onkyo lineup, being the first in its series to feature professional-grade Dirac Live Room Correction as a built-in, out-of-the-box feature.
Core Performance & Audio
Power & Configuration: This 9.2-channel system delivers 100 Watts per channel (8 ohms, 20 Hz–20 kHz, 0.08% THD, 2-ch driven). Its 9 channels allow for a dedicated 5.1.4 or 7.2.2 Dolby Atmos and DTS:X configuration without needing an external amplifier.
THX® Certified Select: It has passed over 2,000 bench tests to ensure “cinema reference” sound—guaranteeing commercial-level volume and low distortion in rooms where the seat-to-screen distance is roughly 3.5 metres.
Dirac Live® Calibration: Unlike basic calibration tools, Dirac Live uses advanced algorithms to correct both the timing and amplitude of sound, significantly improving musical staging, dialogue clarity, and bass response.
IMAX® Enhanced: Specifically optimized to play digitally remastered IMAX content, reproducing the full dynamic range of IMAX theatrical mixes.
Advanced Video & Next-Gen Gaming
Smart Integration & Multi-Room
Multi-Zone Audio/Video: Features discrete Zone 2 and Zone 3 switching. You can watch an 8K movie in the main room while simultaneously playing different content in other zones.
SMART AV Receiver Suite: Built-in support for AirPlay 2, Chromecast, and DTS Play-Fi. It integrates natively with Spotify, Amazon Music HD, TIDAL, Deezer, and TuneIn.
Works with Sonos: Once paired with a Sonos Port, this receiver can join an existing Sonos ecosystem, allowing you to wake the receiver and change inputs via the Sonos app.
Bi-Directional Bluetooth: Can receive audio from your phone or transmit high-quality audio (including 24-bit aptX HD) to wireless headphones.
Specialized Modes
Klipsch Optimize Mode: Onkyo partnered with Klipsch to build in precise crossover values for Klipsch Reference and Reference Premiere speakers, allowing for one-touch optimization of the entire speaker system.
Vocal Enhancer: Uses DSP algorithms to elevate vocal frequencies, solving the common problem of quiet or inaudible dialogue in movies
